LOGS 3.1 introduces a very powerful new feature of the LOGS Viewer and further improvments of the linked entities navigation, along with an important feature for data compliancy.

Multiviewer: The LOGS Viewer now allows you to overlay multiple datasets

Linked Entities Navigation: This makes navigation more intuitive and efficient

File Versioning: datasets, attachments and notebook entries

New functionality for the LOGS Viewer

We are happy to announce a frequently requested feature in our Data Viewer: the ability to overlay datasets! This enhancement allows users to visualize and compare multiple datasets simultaneously, providing deeper insights and more comprehensive analysis. You can use the multiviewer by selecting several datasets on the dataset table and clicking on “Open in viewer” next to the download button.

Linked Entities Navigation

Another new feature is the option to be redirected from the linked entities to the respective table with filters preselected. This makes navigation and data management more intuitive and efficient. When you click on a linked entity, the system automatically applies relevant filters to the table you are redirected to, ensuring you see the most pertinent information right away.

File Versioning

You can now access the version history of datasets, attachments, and notebook entries—making it easier to track changes, ensure transparency, and maintain data compliance. This file versioning capability is one of the key features moving LOGS towards compliance readiness. It complements our newly introduced audit trail functionality, with additional compliance-focused enhancements planned for the next release.

New Data Formats

LOGS-SDMS is able to visualize about 100 different dataformats from various measurments methods and vendors. With this release, 13 new dataformats have been implemented.
